About the Role

Love dogs, fresh air, and working independently? Rover Scoopers is hiring a dependable Field Service Technician to keep our customers’ yards clean throughout the Portland Metro area.

You’ll drive an assigned route, remove dog waste from residential yards, and provide reliable service customers can count on. No pet-waste-removal experience is required—we provide training.

Compensation and Perks

  • Starting pay of $20 per hour
  • Customer tips currently averaging approximately $5 per hour
  • Commissions on qualifying referrals and product upsells after probation
  • Performance-based monthly incentives after probation
  • $25 monthly phone reimbursement after probation

The probationary period is 60 days. Tips, commissions, and incentives vary and are not guaranteed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive an assigned Portland Metro route and complete scheduled stops
  • Thoroughly remove dog waste from customers’ yards
  • Properly bag and dispose of collected waste
  • Secure gates and leave every property clean and safe
  • Document completed services and report access or safety issues

Requirements

  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
  • Comfortable around dogs of different sizes and breeds
  • Willing to work outdoors in changing weather
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
  • Able to perform active, repetitive work and pass required background and driving-record screenings
